Harold was born on September 12, 1950, in Crestline to Cecil and Leona (Rietschlin) Metzger. He had been a lifelong Shelby resident and also worked as a draftsman at The Autocall Co. in Shelby for numerous years. It was there that he met the love of his life, Nancy.

Nancy was a past board member of Shelby Helpline Ministries, belonged to the Catholic Women’s Club, The Daughters of Isabella, and The Altar and Rosary Society. When not volunteering her time, Nancy enjoyed reading, gardening and crafting.

Harold was a member of the PBA and was a skilled bowler, having bowled a perfect 300 game. He also enjoyed golfing, watching NASCAR, Indy and Sprint car races.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Laura (Tim) Miller, son John (Peggy) Myers, sister-in-law Lois Hunter, niece Karen Griffiths and nephew Glenn Griffiths.

Harold is survived by his siblings Janis Hobbs, Rosann (Bill) May, Gerald Metzger; niece Cindy Workman, nephews: Tom Roberts, Mark May, Tony May, and Godmother Charlene Spitan.

As well as their grandchildren: Keri (William) Loeffler, Matthew (Bekah) Miller, Kristin Miller, Johnnie Myers and Ashley (David) Wilson; her great-grandchildren: Lainey, Dillon, Morgan, Taylor, and Jaxzen.
