Jason Mikel Frisby

Jason Mikel Frisby, age 39 resident of Mansfield died Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.

Born February 21, 1979 in Shelby to Clifton Frisby and Teresa "Teri"  (Belsterli) Kuhn, he had been a Shelby resident for the majority of his life, before moving to Mansfield 14 years ago. A 1999 graduate of Shelby High School, he had attended North Central State College and received his Associates Degree in Computer Drafting. Jason had most recently been a cashier for Staples in Ontario and previously for Walmart in Ontario for many years.

Jason had enjoyed cooking and fishing. He had been a basketball enthusiast and had took pride in being the equipment manager for the Shelby Whippet High School basketball team throughout his high school career. Jason was a very strong willed and independent man, despite his lifes challenges. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his love for laughing and making his friends and family laugh with him. He touched many lives and will be truly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents Teri Kuhn and Clifton Frisby, he is survived by his two sisters Janel (Fiance Matthew Pagani) Karr of Shelby and Jody (Steve) Timmer of Crestline; step sister Terra (Danny) Ernsberger of Acton, CA; three nieces; numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives. 

He was preceded in death by his step-father William "Bill" Kuhn in 2004; maternal grandparents Robert and Carol Belsterli; and paternal grandparents Hershel and Mae Frisby.

Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby, Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A family graveside service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the form of donation to the family to help offset the cost of funeral and other expenses.
