John W. Harrison, 61, of Shelby, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 27th, 2020.
He was born February 16, 1959 in Brunswick Ohio to William and Catherine "Miller" Harrison.
John attended Brunswick High School and "Tri-C" Cuyahoga Community College. He worked along side his father in his father's Tool and Die business; taking over the business after his father's passing. Later, earning his degree in HVAC and Refrigeration.
Devoted husband, he married his best friend Brigette on October 25th, 2011. They enjoyed going to their lake cottage together where John could relax and cast a fishing line. He often enjoyed family vacations to the Outer Banks, Walt Disney World, and Disney Resort locations. When his children were growing up he loved to be involved with all of their sporting events, Coach John. He had a true talent for bowling and his favorite hobby was carpentry. Nothing brought more joy to John than being with his friends and family, but above all he loved being a grandpa. To anyone who had the pleasure of knowing John, he was the kindest most giving man, he would help anyone out without a second thought.
John is survived by his wife Brigette Harrison of Shelby Ohio, mother Catherine Harrison and brother Bill Harrison of Brunswick, Ohio. Three children and two grandchildren; Jennifer (Shannon) Mann and their son Blaise of Parma Ohio, James (Allison) Harrison of Virginia Beach, VA, Jonathon (Morgan) Harrison and their son Theodore of Anchorage, AK. Two stepchildren Matthew Cornell of Shelby, OH and Hannah Stratton of Holly Ridge, NC. As well as other family members who loved him.
John was preceded in death by his father William Harrison and his sister Judy Harrison.
The family is following John's wishes on having a private immediate family service at Lake Erie. Cremation services are being performed with the Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory in Shelby.
