Juanita Jean Seitz

Juanita Jean Seitz, age 94 died Monday, December 27, 2021, at the Waterford Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family. 

Born August 31, 1927, in Richland County to Robert and Myrtle (Richey) Calver, she had previously resided in Ashland, moving to Shelby in 1989 and then to Mansfield in 2015.

Jean was the Valedictorian of her 1945 graduating class at Bellville High School. She was a homemaker and was formerly employed in the payroll department with Dominion of Mansfield. 

She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Shelby. 

Jean was a talented seamstress and furniture upholsterer. She also enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers as well as traveling. She was an avid bowler well into her eighties. She was a full-time mother who loved spending time with her family. 

She is survived by her three daughters Joyce (Nate) Myers of New London, Charlotte (Richard Kelly) Davis of Mansfield, June (Mike Workman) Roberts of Millersburg, OH; 18 Grandchildren; three step- children Daniel L. (Darlene) Seitz of Shelby, Ann Tucker of Maysville, KY; Amy (Richard) Russell of Bellevue; six step-grandchildren as well as numerous great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. 

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her previous husbands, Edmund H. Biddison, Earl Peterson, Lloyd Seitz; one son and daughter-in-law Donald (Debby) Biddison; son-in-law Leonard Smith; five sisters; one brother; one grandson Jason Howe; step son-in-law Samuel A. Tucker and step-granddaughter Jill Kolman. 

Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby Sunday, January 2, 2022, from 2:00-4:00 PM. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, January 3, 2022 at the funeral home. A live stream service will begin at 10:00am via the Barkdull Funeral home Facebook page at https://www.barkdullfuneralhome.com/barkdullfh Pastor Brad Gentille will officiate with interment in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.
