Kathe Yetzer, age 86, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby
Born February 10, 1934 in Yugoslavia to Anton and Anna (Schweitzer) Friedrich she came to the United States in 1952 moving to Shelby in 1964. A professional seamstress, she was employed with National Seating, American Knitting Mill, and sewed alterations for the Fashion Shop.
Mrs. Yetzer was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Altar & Rosary Society, and the Shelby Quilt Club. Besides her love of quilting and sewing, she was accomplished at china painting, and baking pies. She enjoyed the time spent with family and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Monica A. (Ronald) Cirata of Shelby; Karl N. (Belinda) Yetzer of Shelby; and Andrew J. (Ellen) Yetzer of Shelby; son-in-law Thomas George of Shelby; 7 grandchildren, Andrew (Jennifer) Cirata of Shelby, Sarah (Scott) Clark of Prospect, OH, Jessica (Nick) Perkins of Hampstead, NC, Megan (Brian) Yetzer-Bettonville of Westerville, Jaden George of Fairfax, CA, Chloe Yetzer of Shelby and Claire Yetzer of Shelby ; 6 great-grandchildren; her sister, Anna (Adolf) Jost of Iserlohn, Germany; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles J. Yetzer whom she wed April 18, 1964; daughter Angelika George, and stepsister, Cornelia Kenton.

Private family calling hours will be observed. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby. Fr. Chris Mileski will officiate with interment held in Most Pure Heart of Mary Cemetery.
