Larry Robinette

Larry D. Robinette, age 82, resident of Shelby, Passed away Saturday evening, at Avita Health Hospital in Ontario.

Born August 1, 1938 in Wellersburg, Pennsylvania to Charles and Bertha (Long) Robinette, he had been a Shelby resident for the past 65 years. A 1956 graduate of Meyerdale High School, Larry had been a Veteran of the United States Army. He had been employed with Pepsi Cola for several years before his retirement in 2002

A long time member of the Shelby Country Club he had also been a member of the Shelby Moose Lodge #422 and the Owls #2553 An avid golfer and outdoorsman, Larry spent many years working the "Chain Gang" alongside his friends at the Shelby Football games and enjoyed supporting all Whippet sports. Above all else, Larry was a family man and his brightest moments were spent with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Phyllis (Baldridge) Robinette, who he wed November 1, 1958; two children Joy (Mike Snider) Robinette-Baker of Canal Winchester, OH and Michael (Desiree Rita Marie) Robinette of Bellville; nine grandchildren, Tara (Seth) Howell , Zach Bammerlin, Jacob (Shay) Bammerlin,

Emily Baker, Maxwell (Abigayle) Baker, Makenzee Snider, Griffin Robinette, Camden Robinette, and Ellasen Robinette; 5 great-grandchildren, Chloe Howell, Brock Howell, Derek Howell, Ravyn Bammerlin, and Bennett Baker as well as one on the way; two sisters Lois Cessna of Meyersdale, PA and Alice Dietz of Shelby, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Deann Bammerlin, great-granddaughter Avery Howell; two brothers, Neil and Charles Robinette.

Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral home & Crematory in Shelby Friday, April 30, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at a later date from Wellersburg, PA.
