Lena Louise Tell

Lena L. Tell, age 72, passed away Friday September 10, 2021 at OhioHealth Mansfield, following a brief illness. 

Born June 1, 1949 in Morehead, KY she had been a Shelby resident the majority of her life. A 1967 graduate of Shelby Senior High School she continued her education graduating from North Central Technical School in accounting.  She was employed as an accountant with Rehabilitation Services Commission of the State of Ohio in Columbus retiring in 2010. She was a member of the First church of the Nazarene.  Lena was an avid reader and enjoyed latch hooking. 

She is survived by her loving Nazarene Church family and friends. 

Lena was preceded in death by her mother, Julie Gertrude Collins, her parents who raised her, George and Marie Tell, one sister  Linda (Collins) Hutchinson and her grandmother, Minnie Collins. 

Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 AM from the funeral home. Pastor Lester Champer will officiate with interment held in Oakland Cemetery.
