Lester W. Moweary

Lester W. Moweary, Jr., 74, of Mansfield and formerly of Indianapolis, IN, died on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. 

Born June 12, 1948, in Connellsville, PA, to the late Lester W. and Mabel (Joy) Moweary, Sr., Lester graduated from Ashland High School and was a proud United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. JR, as his friends and family called him, was a skilled welder. He also enjoyed woodworking and working with horses. 

JR is survived by two children; Tammy (Keith Smith) Wittman of West Salem, Ohio, and Chris (Becky) Moweary of Lanesboro, IA; a stepson, Paul Eldridge of Mansfield; two sisters, Shirley Moweary of Findlay, and Bonnie (Rich) Banichar of Shelby; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Paula, and a granddaughter. 

Per the family's wishes, there will be no services for JR at this time. The Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the family with their arrangements.
