Loann Keyes, age 68, resident of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at OhioHealth Mansfield.
Born January 13, 1953 in Wooster, Ohio to John F. and Lois M. (Kreger) Loar was raised in Shreve and had resided in Lexington for many years. Loann was a 1971 graduate of Triway High School and attended classes at the Ohio State University in Mansfield. She was employed as a Librarian Assistant at MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield. Loann was proud of her Irish-German heritage and was a prolific writer of poetry and short stories.
She was a member of the County Line Historical society of Wayne and Holmes Counties.
Loann is survived by two sons Kevin John (Jennifer) Keyes of Columbus and Jason Dean (Elizabeth) Keyes of Indiana; five grandchildren, Lilly, Olivia, Nolan, Kyle, and Julia Keyes; one brother Ronald A. (Bonnie) Junkin of Shreve, one sister Sara Ellen (Rick) Swiderski of Olmsted Twp. Ohio; nieces and nephews, Katie (Terry) Prost, Mathew (Tracey) Junkin, Mark and Troy Swiderski, Kristy (Mark) Wiegers, Kathy (Bernie) Wurts and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Loann was preceded in death by her husband Dean Keyes in 1993.
A celebration of Loann's life will be held Friday, April 2, 2021 at 4:00PM at Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory in Shelby, OH.
