Marjorie "Marge" (Lewis) Enzor age 92, passed away Tuesday August 31, 2021 at Mill Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Galion, Ohio.
Born August 11, 1929 in Morgan County, Kentucky to Arlie and Marie (Caskey) Lewis, Marjorie was a Shelby area resident for the majority of her life.
A 1947 graduate of Shelby High School, Marjoie ran the billing department for Shelby Sales Book for several years. Moving to Norwalk in 1969, Marjorie and her husband Richard co-owned and operated Westwood Mobile Estates mobile home park, retiring in 1989 and moving back to Shelby.
Marjorie enjoyed going to Key West and Clearwater, Florida in the winter seasons. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, active in chapters in Shelby, Norwalk and Florida. Marjorie was also in the Red Hat Society both in Shelby and Florida. According to CJ Wingart records at the Shelby airport, Marjorie was the first female to solo an airplane there back in 1960.
Marjorie loved to travel, read, go to church, and especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed her regular morning visits with friends at McDonalds and the Friday and breakfast group at Ted and Ali's Cafe. Marjorie had many wonderful friends from coast to coast, Florida, and Canada. Marjorie was a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children David Enzor of Winter Haven, Florida and April Enzor of Shelby; grandchildren Emily Crossman of Shelby and Mashala Enzor of Cadiz, KY; siblings Lana (Jim) Yeager of Hendersonville, NC and Dale (Sara) Lewis of Mansfield; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard Enzor and life-long friend and companion James Dick.
Friends may call the Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory in Shelby Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral services will be held immediately following at the funeral home with Pastor Josh Kocher officiating. Interment Will be held at Greenwich Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shelby Foundation in care of Class of 1947 at 142 N. Gamble St, Shelby, OH 44875.
