Martha G. Patton

Martha G. Patton, age 86, resident of Lexington and former Shelby resident, died Friday, May 20, 2022, at Lexington Court Care Center.

Born September 8, 1935, in Zanesville to Charles T. and Sadie M. (Bradley) Twyford she had been a Shelby resident since the late 1950's before moving to Lexington. She was a former member of the First Lutheran Church where she served on the Altar Guild and Gods Kids. A member of the Tots to Teens, member of numerous card clubs, red hat club, tops, mops, Mother's Club and the Twig Benders Mother's Club. She had also coached girls’ softball and volunteered as a gray lady with Shelby Memorial Hospital. 

Martha enjoyed working with ceramics and sewing and especially spending time with her family. 

Surviving are her children Pamela (Mike) Martin of Shelby, Ohio, Richard "Digger" Patton II of Shelby, Ohio, Kelly (Mike) Holder of Lexington, Ohio, and Tina (Mike) Rosso of Nokomis, Florida, eight grandchildren Brad (Trish) Noland of Ontario, Ohio, Ryan Noland of Lexington, Ohio,  Lindsay (Brandon) Lantz of Shelby, Ohio, Shawn Holder of Charleston, South Carolina, Jordan Holder of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lauren Reynolds of Sarasota, Florida, and Krista (Andrew) Weegar of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Andrea (Adam) DeBerry of The Woodlands, Texas, eleven great grandchildren Jenna(Richard Parker), Mason, Sidney, Garrett, Maryn, Kendall, Sydney, Payton, Abigail, Emberleigh, and Olivia, two sisters Charlene Carden of Lake Wales Florida; Donna (Jerry) Louk of Akron, Ohio;  nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Patton in 1991, an infant son Shawn David Patton and sister Linda Walker. 

Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home on Monday, May 23, 2022, from 4:00-7:00 PM.  Reverend Russel Yoak will officiate the funeral service on Tuesday, May 24 at 11:00 AM with interment immediately following in Oakland Cemetery.
