Mary "Martie" DeMuth

Mary "Martie" DeMuth, age 68, of Shelby died on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at OhioHealth Shelby. 

Born June 8, 1953 in Shelby to George and Cora (Hicks) Stidam. Martie has been a Shelby resident for the majority of her life. She was employed as a waitress at Ryan's, Golden Corral, and Olive Garden. Martie had also worked as an aid at Crestwood Care Center. 

She was a member of the Shelby Church of God. Her hobbies included collecting zebra, cheetah, and other animal print items. Martie enjoyed painting crafts with her sister and spending time with her family. She was a selfless person and always put others first. A Christian woman, she also liked reading her Bible and attending Bible studies. 

Survivors include her loving husband William DeMuth whom she married March 5, 1985; her children James "Shannon" (Melissa) Mosley of Shelby, Sharon (Dave) Such of Lexington, and Ryan (fiancée Kasey Fischer) Mosley of Shelby; four stepchildren; nine grandchildren Heather, Seth, Christopher, Felicia, Jordan, Zacory, Harley, Kianna, Michael, Addy, David, Jackson, Garrett; she had a special bond with her sisters grandson Everett Wyke; seven siblings Grace (John) Mlay of Mansfield, Carolyn Kline of Ashland, Linda Reed of Willard, Charles (Rose) Stidam of Spokane, WA, Marvin Stidam of Cleveland, TN, David Stidam of Chillicothe, Joann (Richard) Frank of Shelby; daughter-in-law Keesha Mosley; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Michael Mosley; two brothers Kenneth and William Stidam; and two sisters Eileen Cowdery and Betty Jean Reed.

Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 4:00- 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held immediately following 6:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to help offset final expenses.
