Michael J Dick

Michael James Dick, age 85, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday, February 1, 2021 at his residence in Shelby.  

Born June 25, 1935 in Plymouth, Ohio to Glenn and Zora (Gregory) Dick he had been a Shelby resident since 1980. A 1953 graduate of Plymouth High School he was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean conflict. He was employed with RR Donnley and Sons Co. for 34 years retiring in 1996. Michael was a member of the First Lutheran Church, and was a 32degree Mason and member of the Shelby Masonic Lodge #350 F& AM,  Shelby Chapter #178, and the Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus. Michael was loved and respected by his family and friends and will be missed by all. 

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Anna (Metcalf) Dick; his son Michael Jay (Pam) Dick of Wise, Virginia; granddaughter Jennifer (Travis) Moore; great grandson Truman Michael Moore and very special friends whom he considered family, Dave (Beth) Brooks and their children Bailey Brooks, Sara (Justin) Welter and their children Connor, Ava and Sadie and  Danny (Leah) Pennell and their son Finnley. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private family memorial funeral service will be held Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. Per the families request, calling hours will not be observed.
