Mildred “Milly” Arnold Munroe passed away on July 18, 2021 at the age of 97, surrounded by her family at her daughter’s home in Shelby.
Milly was preceded in death by her parents, Dillard and Margaret Phillips, sister, Marge Johnson, husband, A. Jay Arnold, second husband, Kenneth Munroe and step-Grandson, Bryan Lerner. She is survived by three daughters, Meg (Richard) Holden of Florida, Pam (Richard) Heishman-Burbage of Nevada, and Amy (William) Heiland of Shelby. Stepdaughter, Shirley(Neal) Lerner, Stepson, Kenneth Munroe Jr; Four Grandsons, Jake, Jedd, Jay, and Joe; Step-Grandson, Kevin Lerner; Eight Great-Grandchildren, Nolan, Chase, Crystal, Elijah, Isabel, Luke, Mark, and Lev.
Milly was owner of Arnold’s Flower Fashions florist shop in Shelby for many years. Following her retirement she continued making flower arrangements, baking pies, traveling and golfing. She was a member of the First Christian Church(Disciples of Christ) in Shelby.
There will be a private graveside service and burial in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby. A memorial service will be held in her honor at a later date.
