Richard T Coffman

Richard Thomas Coffman, age 57, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at his home in Shelby, surrounded by his loving family. 

Born February 1, 1964 to John and Fern (Hopkins) Coffman in Willard, Rick was a 1982 graduate of South Central High School and EHOVE Technical School. He was employed with Richard's Landscaping, and later with Kilbane Advertising. Rick retired in 2021 from Graham Auto Mall where he had worked in maintenance. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and woodworking. Richard loved watching NASCAR and following his son Brandon racing Dirt Track at Wayne County Speedway. But more than anything he loved spending time with his family.

Richard is survived by his wife, Sue (Augenstein) Coffman whom he married on August 7, 1993; his two sons, Zach (Ashley) Dormaier  and Brandon (Tasha) Dormaier both of Shelby; two daughters, Chantel Augenstein and Yevette Hill all of Shelby; four grandchildren, Makayla Kaine, Ty Darbeau, Brennen Dormaier, and Harper Dormaier; his brother, Darrell (Linda) Coffman of Berlin Heights, two sisters, Barb (Ray) Augenstein of Greenwich, and Betty (Marvin) Atherton of North Fairfield, OH; his sister-in-law Laura Coffman of Norwalk; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Chuck Coffman, sister Marlene "Mudge" Rowe, and his brother-in-law Paul Rowe.

Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home and Crematory in Shelby Friday October 1, 2021 from 4:00 PM- 8:00 PM.
