Richard "Rick" M Dennis

Richard "Rick" M. Dennis, age 67 resident of Shelby, passed away June 24, 2022 at Avita Hospital in Ontario. 

Born May 16, 1955 in Shelby to Mary Rose Will, he had been a life long Shelby resident. A 1973 graduate of Shelby High School, he had worked in sales at Industrial Technical for over 30 years, before his retirement in 2021.

Rick was an amazing cook, and enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and shooting at his gun range. He was passionate about fishing and loved spending time in his boat on Lake Erie catching walleye and perch. Above all else, his greatest joy in life were his sons and grandchildren.

In addition to his mother Mary Rose, he is survived by his three sons; Scott (Amy) Dennis of Lewis Center, Weston Dennis of Bellville and Brad (Lauren) Dennis of Shelby; four grandchildren Aden Noel, Avery Dennis, Gracie Dennis and Baker Dennis; two sisters Karen Swank of Shelby and Kathy (Steve) Hartings of Shelby; two nieces, Kelsey and Karli and two nephews Isaac and Derek; as well as numerous cousins and other relatives.

Rick was preceded in death by his step-father Duane Will and his brother Craig Dennis.

Friends are invited to join the family for a celebration of Rick's life from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory.
