Obituary
Rodney Lawren Hannafius, age 83, died Monday, March 21, 2022 at his home in Shelby.
Born December 10, 1938 to Lawren B. and Clarabelle (Hart) Hannafius in Midland, Michigan, he had been a Shelby resident for the last few years. Rodney served in the United States Marine Corps, worked as a machinist, and retired after 22 years of being a hardware store owner.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Moose and had an interest in cars.
He is survived in death by his wife of 62 years, Suzanne; sons Robert of Ocala, Florida, and Lawren of Ft. McCoy, Florida; 2 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert E. Hannafius.
