Sarah Curry Obituary

Sarah J. Curry, age 63 resident of Shiloh, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the Ashland Samaritan Medical Center.

Born September 3, 1958 in Celina, OH to Ole and Doris (George) Sites, she has been a Shiloh resident for the past 39 years. Sarah was a 1976 graduate of Parkway High School and attended Lima Technical College where she obtained her Associates Degree. Sarah was a faithful member of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby and enjoyed gardening, baking, playing hand bells in the church choir, watching Steelers football and all Crestview School athletics.

Sarah is survived by her son Scott Curry of Chesapeake, VA; three sisters Susan (Lennie) Holdcraft of Bucyrus, Shirley (Kevin) Kirkendall of Lucas, Sandra (Doug) Grooms of Rockford; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death, four days, by her husband Richard Curry, whom she wed September 3, 1982.

Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory to celebrate the life of Richard and Sarah on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Curry will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Shelby First Lutheran Church, 33 Broadway St, Shelby, OH 44875, with Rev. Russell Yoak officiating. Interment will follow funeral services at Mansfield Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church or the Crestview Local School Flower Fund in memory of Sarah Curry.

Per the families request, masks are strongly encouraged.
