Tamera D Wolford

Tamera Denise Wolford, age 63 resident of Shelby, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 in her home.

Born February 9, 1958 in South Williamson, Kentucky to Billy Wolford and Donna (Spaulding) Shirey, she had been a resident of Shelby for over 30 years, moving from West Virginia.

Tamera was baptized at the age of 13 at the Freewill Baptist Church in West Virginia. She loved watching Nickelodeon shows, especially SpongeBob and Paw Patrol. Tamera also enjoyed spending time with her mother watching birds and deer.

She is survived by her loving mother Donna Shirey of Shelby, sister Toni Hicks of Shelby; three brothers, Christopher Hicks of Woodruff, SC, Daniel (Pamela) Hicks of Red Jacket, WV, Randy (Deana) Hicks of Crestline; one step-sister Darla (Victor) Dettorre of West Chester, OH and her favorite K-9 companion, Chase.

In addition to her maternal and paternal grandparents, she was preceded in death by her step father, David L. Shirey.

Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 11:00 AM officiated by Pastor Rick Utt. Interment will be held in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
