Vina Bowling, age 85, of Shelby passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at her sister's home in Shelby.
Born April 28, 1937, in Dony, KY to Ray and Pricie (Gayheart) Stumbo. She has been a Shelby resident since 1950. Vina worked for AMF for many years and was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Mansfield. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, and visiting with her family.
She is survived by her two step children, Darron (Wendy) Bowling of Apopka, FL, Jarron (Emily) Bowling of Shelby; grandchildren Tyler, Alex, William and Katie Bowling, Brandon and Patience Corfman; great-grandchildren Anastasiya and Jaxson Bowling and Axel DeVries; two sisters Vany (Ned) Harris of Shelby, Edith (Gary) Crager of Shiloh; three brothers Clifton (Rietta) Stumbo of Shiloh, Clifford Stumbo of Shiloh, Matt (Nancy) Stumbo of Shelby; stepson-in-law Bob Hicks of Shelby; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Bowling, stepdaughter June Hicks, her sisters Vestie Crouse, Estie Rodeheaver, Freda Burks, her brother Earnest Stumbo and an infant daughter Kathy Frisby.
Friends may visit the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory, Monday, May 16, 2022, from 9:30AM - 10:30AM Funeral services will immediately follow at 10:30AM. Her nephew, Reverend Floyd Glick will officiate with interment held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh.
