Weldon "Butch" Edward Strohm Jr., age 65 passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
Born April 26, 1956 in Shelby, Ohio to Weldon E. and Elizabeth (Didion) Strohm Sr., he had been an area resident for the majority of his life.
A 1974 graduate of Plymouth High School, Butch had worked as a steel worker for 43 years at ArcelorMittal before his retirement in 2016. He enjoyed camping, riding his motorcycle and working on jigsaw puzzles. He was an animal lover and spending time with his grandchildren was very important to him.
He was a member of the Shelby First Lutheran Church, Shelby Moose Lodge 422, and Plymouth American Legion Post 447.
He is survived by his wife Justine (Lynch) Strohm, whom he wed July 16, 1983; two sons Luke (Susanna) Strohm, Mark (Audrey) Strohm both of Ashland; two grandsons Tyler Strohm and Isaiah Strohm, and one on the way Franklin Edward Strohm; three siblings, Judy (Darryl Runkle) Risner of Plymouth, Rick (Joan) Strohm of Pattersonville, New York, Peggy (Dane) Howard of New London; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Sally Jo Strohm; and brothers Terry, Randy, and Rodney Strohm.
Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM. A funeral service will be held 10:30 AM Monday at the funeral Home. Pastor Russel Yoak will officiate with burial held in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.
