Betty Jean (Hardin) Glower

Betty Jean (Hardin) Glower, age 78, of Tipp City, Ohio died Wednesday April 20, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born December 27, 1937 in Clear Creek, Kentucky to Edgar Hardin & Lottie Sweeney, she had been a Shelby resident for 42 years then moving to Tipp City in 1983. She attended Shelby City School and worked for 30 years as a security officer with the last 24 years as the security supervisor at American Honda Distribution Hub in Troy. 

She enjoyed country music and was considered a workaholic and she worked until she was 73. 

Betty is survived by her son, Danny Reed of Tipp City, Ohio; one brother, Larry Hardin of Shelby and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband, Mervin Glower in 2014; 5 sisters, Jewel Patton, Beulah Pursley, Lillian Gutchall, Nellie Parker, Creta Moyer; two brothers, Gary Hardin, Madison Sweeney.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday April 26, 2016 at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory. Rev. S.T. Adkins and Rev. Ron Bushong will officiate and internment will be held in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00-12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial expressions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
