Clayton J. Wallace

March 9, 1939 ~ July 20, 2015 (age 76) 76 Years Old

Clayton J. Wallace, age 76, resident of Florida and  former Shelby resident died Monday July 20, 2015 in Tampa General Hospital in Florida. Born March 9, 1939 in Morehead, Kentucky to John and Ida (Jones) Wallace he received an associate degree in engineering from Akron University.  He was employed with Tech Form Industries Shelby for 31 years and later was President and CEO with International  Specialty Tube Corporation retiring in 1997.  Clayton was a former member of  the Shelby Country Club and the Shelby Eagles. He enjoyed golfing, boating, traveling and  loved to cook. Most importantly, he looked forward to spending time with family and friends. 

Survivors include his wife Mary Ann (Wade) Wallace whom he married October 24,1985; his son Tracy Wallace of Galion, his daughter Tammy (Michael) Stevens of Crestline; three grandchildren Justin (Heather) Stevens, Jeremy (Samantha) Stevens and Jona (Jamie) Jamison; five great -grandchildren Tyler, Jordyn, Emalyn, Elisiya and Chance; two brothers Charles (Marge) Gregory of Galion and John (Jean) Wallace of Shelby; four sisters, Olive Abrams of Nankin, OH, Francis (Ed) Mackey of Shelby, Linda Latimer of Mansfield, Kathy Schacherer of Lexington; two sisters-in-law Virginia (Jan) Day of Shelby and Carol Gregory of Florida; nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers Glenn, Lloyd and Larry Wallace and Ray Gregory and one sister Joyce Dennison.  

Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday July 24, 2015 at the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby. Pastor Gary Lambert of the Belmont Ave. Community  Church will officiate with interment in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
