What an amazing lady. I used to get so excited when Aunt Ruth and Uncle Albert were coming to town. I always made her tell me stories of when she was younger or of some of the ornery things she used to do. I always loved her honesty and boldness. An honest person always speaks their mind. Oh how we would laugh. I'll never forget when I traveled to Shelby with my mother and father in law (Karen and Jim) to spend the weekend with Aunt Ruth and Uncle Albert. She slept in the living room with me and she kept yelling at me to stop snoring. She started out by whispering to me to stop and when that didn't work she just started yelling at me...LOL. All of us that had the honor of knowing Ruth Hammonds were blessed. She was one of a kind that's for sure. I'm so thankful that I got to facetime with her Wednesday. She was at peace and ready to go home to God. God bless Uncle Albert, her children, and all who loved her endlessly <3
