Larry was both larger than life and a humble, unassuming man. His generosity, sense of humor, big-heartedness, and love of people were apparent to everyone who knew him even a little. His dedication to my mother and us kids was unmistakable and consistent. He was known as a skilled metal worker and loved to work on various projects, especially those that involved helping other people. His humorous nickname, "tool time Larry" described the seemingly infinite number of tools he had (often multiples) for any project he might encounter. His hearty laugh was always a warm reminder of his love of people and his connections with them. The many years he played Santa were a testament not only to his physical resemblance to Saint Nick, but also the big heart he had for everyone and his generosity. Children were awed by him when they would see "the real Santa" in his street clothes off season and he never ceased loving that attention. He will be missed by so many who loved him and whose lives he made immeasurably better.

We weep at the passing of a true best friend, a co-worker, and as we often mentioned, an adopted brother, family. Larry was always willing to lend a helping hand, advice, a tidbit to make you smile or to make you laugh uncontrollably. We will miss him for many reasons, but he will remain in our hearts and memories. We are eternally grateful he brought Barb into our lives. Much love

I will never forget meeting Larry at the Richland Mall, where one of my jobs there was working at the one hour photo finish store, CPI. He always loved taking pictures and brought to get developed. I think the very first time I met him he wanted to show me a picture of his pride and joy. And it was just that!! A picture of Pride and a bottle of dish detergent Joy!! He was a funny and kind man! Someone you never forget!! My deepest sympathies to you Barbara and your family! Hugs and prayers... Kim

Of the many exceptional men I have known and are part of my life, Larry was undoubtedly right at the top of the list. Every day I use a tool he gave me, remember a building technique he taught me and enjoy the confidence he gave me that I can "do it myself". While I will never reach his level of competence in any building skill, Larry mentored me and contributed time and treasure the way only a parent does. I'm not sure most step parents earn the admiration and love from their step kids the way Larry has. We three kids felt well loved whether it was an act of kindness being offered or a gruff ribbing (Dan and I certainly understand the latter :). What a gift mother, that you brought Larry into our lives for all these precious years. Love...

Larry was a wonderful man who will be missed. Once when shopping with 2 grandkids ages 4 & 5, he and Barbara walked past and I called out "Santa". Larry came back and talked to the kids. Will never forget look on their faces, even though he was in street clothes, they truly believed he was Santa. So sorry for Shelby's loss of this man.
